Anfield is one of world football’s most famous stadiums and the home to 5-time European Cup winners, Liverpool FC.
In 2008, the Club starts construction work on a new stadium. Only a goal kick away from the existing Anfield stadium this new venue will seat over 60,000 fans in a truly iconic and architecturally bold structure with all the modern amenities required for today’s top flight sporting occasions.
Alongside the stadium project will run a large scale regeneration project covering housing renewal, social and education programmes and the restoration of Stanley Park to its Victorian glory. Once vacated the old Anfield stadium will make way for ‘Anfield Plaza’, a mixed-use development potentially including housing, leisure, tourism and retail elements.
Alma has been appointed to create and publish the official project magazine to chart the stadium build and associated regeneration programmes.
